Instructions

Steps: 1. Cut several pieces of macrame cord, each about 10-12 feet long. 2. Fold each piece of cord in half and attach it to the wooden dowel or branch using a lark's head knot. 3. Separate the cords into groups of four. 4. Starting at the top, create square knots by taking the outer cords and crossing them over the middle cords. 5. Repeat step 4 until you've created several rows of square knots. 6. To add some texture, create alternating rows of half square knots by using the same process as step 4, but only using the outer cords. 7. Continue creating rows of square knots and half square knots until you've reached your desired length. 8. Trim the excess cord to create a fringe. 9. Comb or brush out the fringe to give it a fluffy appearance. 10. Optional: Add beads or feathers to the fringe for embellishment. 11. Hang your macrame wall hanging and enjoy!
