Upcycling & Sustainability Intermediate 3 hours $10
Step-by-Step Instructions
1. Start by cutting out strips of paper from the magazines, about 1 inch wide.
2. Take one strip and roll it tightly into a coil, securing the end with a dab of glue.
3. Repeat this process with more strips until you have enough coils to form a coaster.
4. Flatten one coil slightly and apply a thin layer of decoupage glue to the bottom side.
5. Press the coil onto a piece of cardboard, starting in the center and working your way out to create a circular shape.
6. Continue adding coils, gluing them together as you go, until you reach the desired size for your coaster.
7. Allow the coaster to dry completely.
8. Optionally, you can apply a clear acrylic sealer to give your coasters a glossy finish and added durability.
9. Repeat the process to create a set of matching coasters.
