Step-by-Step Instructions
1. Prepare your wooden base by sanding all surfaces smooth and applying varnish or wood stain if desired. Allow it to dry completely.
2. Cut a length of metal wire about 24 inches long using wire cutters.
3. Using pliers, bend the wire into a shape resembling a photo holder: create a loop at one end for holding the photo, then form an elegant spiral or geometric shape along the rest of the wire for aesthetic interest.
4. Leave about 2-3 inches of straight wire at the bottom to insert into the wooden base.
5. Use a drill to create a small hole in the center of the wooden base, sized just slightly smaller than the wire diameter for a tight fit.
6. Insert the straight end of the wire into the hole. If needed, apply strong glue inside the hole before insertion to secure the wire firmly.
7. Hold the wire steady in place until the glue sets (follow glue manufacturer’s instructions for drying times).
8. Optionally, screw small hook screws on the sides of the base for added stability or decoration.
9. Test the photo holder by placing a photo or card into the wire loop.
10. Package your creation nicely to present as a premium handmade gift.
