Step-by-Step Instructions
1. Plan your shelf dimensions and design, deciding how many shelves and their spacing.
2. Measure and mark the wooden boards for cutting according to your design.
3. Cut the boards to size using a handsaw or circular saw.
4. Sand all cut pieces thoroughly starting with 120 grit then finish with 220 grit for a smooth surface.
5. Assemble the frame by attaching side supports to the top and bottom shelf pieces using wood glue and 2.5" screws. Use clamps to hold while drying.
6. Attach the remaining shelves evenly spaced inside the frame using wood glue and 1.25" screws.
7. Fill any screw holes or imperfections with wood filler and let dry, then sand smooth.
8. Apply wood stain or paint evenly with a brush or rag; allow to dry fully and apply a second coat if needed.
9. Optionally, finish with a clear sealer or polyurethane for protection.
10. Mount the completed shelf unit securely on the wall using appropriate anchors and screws.
