Step-by-Step Instructions
1. Cut a piece of cardboard about 3 inches wide.
2. Wrap the yarn around the cardboard about 30-40 times, depending on how thick you want the tassel.
3. Carefully slide the wrapped yarn off the cardboard.
4. Cut a separate small length of yarn (about 8 inches) and tie it tightly around the top of the looped yarn bundle to secure it.
5. Fold the yarn bundle at the tied point to create the tassel shape.
6. Take another small piece of yarn and wrap it several times around the tassel about 0.5 inch below the top tie to form the tassel neck, then tie securely and trim excess yarn.
7. Trim the bottom loops of the tassel evenly to create the fringe.
8. Attach the tassel to the keyring by threading the top loop through the keyring and pulling the tassel through the loop.
9. Optional: add beads or charms by threading them onto the yarn before attaching to the keyring.
