Step-by-Step Instructions
1. Cut a piece of cardstock to your desired card size (e.g., 5x7 inches) and fold it in half to create the card base.
2. Decide on the pop-up elements you want (e.g., balloons, cake, or gifts) and sketch them lightly on the colored paper.
3. Cut out the pop-up shapes carefully with scissors.
4. To create the pop-up effect, make small tabs at the bottom of each shape. Fold the tabs and glue them to the inside of the card at the crease.
5. Decorate the front of the card with markers, colored pencils, or stickers to give it a festive look.
6. Write a heartfelt message inside the card, and make sure the pop-up elements are secure and positioned well for a surprise effect.
7. Allow any glue to dry completely before handling the card.
