Step-by-Step Instructions
1. Gather your fabric scraps and cut them into strips approximately 1-2 inches wide and 18-24 inches long. You can mix textures and colors for a bohemian look.
2. Lay the wooden dowel horizontally on your workspace.
3. Take one fabric strip, fold it in half to form a loop at the folded end.
4. Place the loop under the dowel, then pull the loose ends of the strip over the dowel and through the loop, creating a lark’s head knot.
5. Pull tight to secure the fabric strip onto the dowel.
6. Repeat steps 3-5, alternating fabric strips along the dowel, filling it as densely or sparsely as you prefer.
7. Once all strips are attached, trim the ends evenly or leave them varied for a more organic look.
8. Tie the string or twine to each end of the dowel to create a hanger.
9. Optional: Use fabric glue or hot glue on knots to secure strips if desired.
10. Hang your new boho fabric wall hanging on a wall hook or nail and enjoy the added texture and color in your space.
