Step-by-Step Instructions
1. Gather and flatten large cardboard boxes. Cut out two large identical side panels shaped like the body of a helicopter, approximately child-sized (about 3 feet long).
2. Cut a rectangular base piece to connect the two side panels, forming the floor of the helicopter cockpit.
3. Using smaller cardboard strips, create support beams to glue between the side panels and the base for stability.
4. Cut out a rounded front windshield piece from clear plastic or leave open and frame it with pink poster board.
5. Attach a cardboard tail boom extending from the back of the helicopter body.
6. Make rotor blades by cutting large, rounded rectangles from cardboard or poster board; attach them to a circular cardboard hub or plastic cup placed on top of the helicopter body with a glue gun.
7. Paint the entire helicopter body pink using acrylic paint or cover with pink poster board glued to the surface.
8. Add Paw Patrol themed details with colored paper or craft foam: eyes on the windshield, the Paw Patrol badge on the sides, white stripes, and black outlines using marker or paint.
9. Attach small plastic cup pieces or rolled cardboard tubes to simulate the landing skids underneath.
10. Allow paint and glue to dry completely before use.
11. Optionally, add Velcro strips to attach and detach rotor blades for easy storage or play.
12. Encourage the child to sit inside the helicopter and enjoy imaginative play!
