Step-by-Step Instructions
1. Start by threading one end of the nylon or cotton cord through the hole at the top or back of the wooden Ganesha plate. If there is no hole, carefully glue a small metal jump ring to the back top edge of the plate and thread the cord through the ring.
2. Secure the Ganesha plate in place by tying a knot below it on the cord or using a small drop of glue.
3. Begin stringing wooden beads onto the cord above the Ganesha plate. Alternate bead sizes for visual interest, leaving about 2-3 inches of cord at the top for hanging.
4. Once you’ve added the desired number of beads, tie a sturdy knot at the top to keep them from slipping off.
5. Create a loop at the top of the cord by folding the end down about 2 inches and tying a knot, forming a hanging loop.
6. (Optional) Add a small tassel or feather at the bottom by attaching it to the cord below the Ganesha plate with glue or by threading it onto the cord before knotting.
7. Trim any excess cord neatly.
8. Let any glue dry completely before hanging your new decor on a bag, wall hook, or boutique display.
