Step-by-Step Instructions
1. Design your desk organizer using vector design software, planning compartments for stationery, phone, and small items. Include slots and tabs for assembly.
2. Import the design into the laser cutter software, assigning cut settings for each material: wood for main body, acrylic for decorative panels, and EVA foam for cushioning inserts.
3. Prepare the materials by cleaning the surfaces and applying painter's tape if needed to reduce burn marks.
4. Load the 10mm plywood into the laser cutter and cut the main structural parts according to your design.
5. Switch to the acrylic sheet and cut decorative side panels or nameplates.
6. Cut EVA foam pieces for drawer bottoms or pen holders to add cushioning.
7. Sand any rough edges on the plywood pieces lightly to ensure smoothness.
8. Assemble the organizer by fitting tabs and slots together, using wood glue or acrylic adhesive to secure pieces.
9. Attach acrylic panels and foam inserts in their designated spots.
10. Allow glue to dry completely before using your custom desk organizer.
