French Carnival Crown and Flag Display


Celebrate the rich culture of France at the carnival of nationalities by creating a vibrant flag and a stunning crown. This project also includes a panel showcasing iconic French monuments and famous dishes.

Instructions

Creating the Flag: 1. Cut the construction paper into three vertical stripes: blue (left), white (middle), and red (right). 2. Glue or tape the stripes together to form the French flag. 3. Attach the flag to the wooden dowel. Making the Crown: 1. Measure the circumference of your head using the measuring tape. 2. Cut a strip of cardstock to this length and about 3 inches wide. 3. Decorate the strip with sequins, ribbons, and faux flowers using the hot glue gun. 4. Once decorated, form the strip into a crown shape and glue the ends together. Creating the Panel: 1. Take the large poster board or cardboard and lay it flat. 2. Use markers or paints to create a colorful background. 3. Print images of French monuments and dishes, cut them out, and glue them onto the panel in an aesthetically pleasing arrangement.
