Step-by-Step Instructions
1. Fold the cardstock paper in half to create the base of your greeting card (approximately 5.5 x 8.5 inches).
2. Lightly sketch a Pongal-themed design on the front of the card using a pencil. Consider drawing traditional elements like a Pongal pot, sugarcane, sun, or colorful rangoli patterns.
3. Prepare your acrylic paints on the palette. Use bright, festive colors to reflect the joyful spirit of Pongal.
4. Begin painting your design on the front of the card. Use smaller brushes for details and medium brushes for filling larger areas. Let each color dry before applying another to avoid smudging.
5. Once the paint is dry, use the black fine-tip marker to outline the design and add details or text like "Happy Pongal".
6. On the inside of the card, write your personalized Pongal wish using the marker or paint.
7. Allow the entire card to dry completely before handling or placing it in an envelope.
8. Optionally, you can decorate the back of the card with a small painted motif or your signature.
