Step-by-Step Instructions
1. Gather reference images of a nurse in uniform and outdoor scenes to guide your design.
2. Sketch or print the nurse figure and various outdoor and professional elements on different cardstock sheets. Plan at least 4-5 layers: background (sky and trees), midground (hospital or outdoor setting), nurse figure base, nurse details (uniform, accessories), and professional symbols (stethoscope, medical cross).
3. Carefully cut out each layer using a craft knife or scissors. Be precise around details for best effect.
4. Color or add details to each layer using colored pencils or markers if your prints are black and white.
5. On a sturdy base cardstock, start assembling from the background layer. Use foam adhesive squares between each layer to create depth. Ensure layers align properly to maintain perspective.
6. Add the nurse figure layers next, building up the uniform and accessories to stand out.
7. Finish by attaching professional symbols on the topmost layer to emphasize the nurse’s role.
8. Allow glue to dry completely.
9. Optionally, frame your layered artwork in a clear acrylic frame or shadow box to protect and display your dimensional piece.
10. Display your tribute artwork proudly or gift it to someone in the healthcare profession.
