Step-by-Step Instructions
1. Build or repurpose a wooden box sized to hold DVDs vertically.
2. Sand and finish the box with paint or wood stain as desired.
3. Attach the LED strip inside the box along the back or sides to illuminate the DVDs.
4. Connect the LED strip to the battery pack and install the toggle or key switch on the outside of the box for power control.
5. Install a small spring-loaded latch or magnetic catch inside the box that holds the DVD tray or a removable platform.
6. Attach a small key-operated switch or mechanical key latch outside the box, wired or connected to release the latch when turned.
7. Test the LED lighting by turning the key switch on and off.
8. Place DVDs inside and use the key mechanism to manually release and slightly eject the DVD tray or platform for easy access.
9. Secure all wiring neatly inside the box and ensure the battery pack is accessible for replacement.
