Beginner 15 hours $15
Step-by-Step Instructions
1. Choose the photo you want to use and open it in your photo editing software.
2. Create a new background or design around your photo. You can add colors, patterns, or text as you like. Adjust the size so the entire design fits within your desired window cling dimensions.
3. Print the final design onto the clear transparency sheet using your printer. Make sure to follow your printer’s instructions for printing on transparency.
4. Once printed, allow the ink to dry completely to avoid smudging.
5. Clean the window surface where you want to apply the cling using rubbing alcohol and a cotton ball. This removes dust and oils for better adhesion.
6. Cut out the printed design carefully with scissors or a craft knife.
7. Cut a piece of static cling film or clear contact paper slightly larger than your printed image.
8. If using contact paper, peel off the backing and carefully place the printed transparency onto the sticky side, aligning it smoothly to avoid bubbles.
9. If using static cling film, press the printed film onto the cling film, and optionally spray a very light coat of repositionable spray adhesive on the cling film side for better hold.
10. Trim any excess cling material around the edges.
11. Apply your personalized window cling to the cleaned window surface. Smooth out any air bubbles with a soft cloth or squeegee.
12. To remove or reposition, simply peel off gently and reapply as desired.
