Step-by-Step Instructions
1. Measure your dog's neck with a measuring tape and cut the leather strip to the appropriate length, adding a few extra inches for adjustments.
2. If desired, dye the leather strip using leather dye and let it dry completely.
3. Use the leather punch tool to create holes for the buckle and D-ring, as well as for rivets or studs.
4. Attach the buckle and D-ring by inserting them through the designated holes and securing them with rivets or by stitching them in place.
5. Arrange the rivets or studs in a design of your choice along the collar, marking their positions with a pencil or chalk.
6. Use the leather punch to make holes for each rivet or stud and set them in place using a hammer or mallet.
7. Optionally, stitch along the edges of the collar for added durability.
8. Apply leather conditioner to keep the collar supple and protected.
9. Let everything dry and set completely before trying it on your dog.
