1. Plan the enclosure dimensions based on the size of the iPad and speakers. Leave space for ventilation and cable routing.
2. Cut wood panels for the enclosure: front, back, sides, top, and bottom using a jigsaw or handsaw.
3. Sand all wood pieces to smooth edges and surfaces.
4. Assemble the enclosure frame using wood glue and screws, ensuring a sturdy box with an open back or removable panel for access.
5. Stain or paint the wood as desired. Allow to dry fully.
6. Mount the Cambridge Soundworks speakers inside the enclosure in their original positions or adjusted for aesthetic and acoustic preference.
7. Secure the amplifier board inside the enclosure, ensuring it’s accessible for wiring and ventilation.
8. Connect the speakers to the amplifier according to the original wiring.
9. If the amplifier does not have built-in Bluetooth, connect a Bluetooth audio receiver to the amplifier input.
10. Connect the iPad to the amplifier (or Bluetooth receiver) using a Lightning to 3.5mm adapter and audio cable, or pair via Bluetooth if supported.
11. Install rubber feet on the bottom of the enclosure to prevent slipping and surface damage.
12. Place the iPad in a secure position on or inside the enclosure where it can be easily seen and accessed.
13. Power on the amplifier and pair the iPad via Bluetooth or connect through cable.
14. Use your iPhone to control the iPad’s iMusic app via WiFi or Bluetooth (e.g., Home Sharing or Remote app).
15. Test sound output, adjust speaker placement or enclosure openings if needed for sound quality.
16. Finalize assembly by securing any loose cables and closing the enclosure.
17. Enjoy your smart music box with wireless control and rich sound!
