Step-by-Step Instructions
1. Ensure the gas container is completely empty and clean. Wear gloves and goggles for safety.
2. Cut off the top of the gas container using an angle grinder or metal saw to create an opening for loading wood chips or charcoal.
3. Drill holes at the bottom of the container for airflow and ventilation.
4. Cut a door on the side of the container; attach hinges to allow access for adding fuel or checking food.
5. Install the metal chimney at the top for smoke ventilation, ensuring it's securely attached.
6. Place the metal grill grate inside the container at the desired height for your smoking needs.
7. Optionally, paint the exterior with high-temperature paint for a finished look.
8. Add a temperature gauge near the top to monitor the heat inside the smoker.
9. Fill the bottom with charcoal or wood chips, light it up, and close the door. Allow the smoker to heat up before adding food.
