Step-by-Step Instructions
1. Prepare your fabric by ironing it flat and cutting it slightly larger than your embroidery hoop.
2. Place the fabric in the embroidery hoop, tightening it so the fabric is taut.
3. Use the water-soluble fabric pen to lightly trace the floral design onto the fabric.
4. Thread your needle with about 18 inches of embroidery floss (separate 2-3 strands for beginner ease).
5. Start stitching the outline of the flower using a simple backstitch: bring needle up from the back, take a small stitch forward, and come up again a stitch length ahead.
6. Fill in petals or leaves using satin stitch or simple running stitches.
7. Change floss colors as needed to add details.
8. Once complete, tie off your thread securely at the back.
9. Remove the fabric from the hoop, rinse gently with water to remove pen marks, and let it dry.
10. Optionally, place the fabric back in the hoop to display your finished embroidery.
