Step-by-Step Instructions
1. Sand the wooden plank to smooth any rough edges.
2. Measure and mark four points near the plank’s corners about 1-2 inches from the edges.
3. Drill holes through the marked points or, if no drill, carefully create holes with a screwdriver.
4. Cut two equal lengths of rope, each about 6-8 feet long.
5. Thread each rope through the holes on one side of the plank and tie secure knots underneath to hold the plank.
6. Repeat on the other side with the second rope.
7. Determine where you want the shelf on your wall or ceiling and install the hooks securely.
8. Hang the ropes on the hooks, adjusting the knots if necessary to level the shelf.
9. Place lightweight items on the shelf, avoiding heavy loads.
