Intermediate 6 hours $30
Step-by-Step Instructions
1. Research basic Quickboats folding patterns online to understand the folding mechanism.
2. Draw the boat template on the cardboard sheets using the ruler and pencil. The design should include fold lines and flaps for assembly.
3. Carefully cut out the pieces with the utility knife.
4. Score the fold lines lightly with the knife to ensure clean folds.
5. Fold the cardboard along the scored lines to form the boat shape.
6. Use the hot glue gun to glue tabs and secure the boat structure.
7. Reinforce seams and edges with waterproof tape to prevent water ingress.
8. Apply at least two coats of waterproofing sealant over the entire boat, allowing drying time between coats.
9. Optionally, line the interior with a plastic sheet or tarp glued securely for extra waterproofing.
10. Let the boat dry completely for 24 hours.
11. Test the boat in a small body of calm water, making adjustments or reinforcing as needed.
