Beginner 2 hours $10
Step-by-Step Instructions
1. Draw your wallet pattern on paper: a rectangle 9x6 inches, with an additional 3-inch flap for closure.
2. Cut out the pattern and use it to cut two pieces from felt fabric (one for front, one for back).
3. Plan your embroidery design on the front felt piece. Lightly draw the design with pencil.
4. Thread your embroidery needle and use simple stitches like backstitch, satin stitch, or French knots to create your design.
5. Once embroidery is complete, place the two felt pieces together, aligning edges.
6. Sew around the sides and bottom edges with needle and thread using a whip stitch or blanket stitch, leaving the top edge open for wallet pockets.
7. Use fabric glue or hot glue to attach small felt pockets inside the wallet if desired.
8. To create a flap closure, fold the extra 3-inch felt flap over the wallet opening and secure it with a snap button, Velcro, or a small button and loop.
9. Trim any excess threads and check all seams for security.
10. Your embroidered felt wallet is ready to use or gift!
