Step-by-Step Instructions
1. Choose a cardboard box large enough to fit your smartphone inside and allow space for projection.
2. Cut a square hole on one of the short sides of the box, sized to fit the magnifying glass lens snugly.
3. Remove the lens from the magnifying glass frame if possible, or carefully tape the entire magnifying glass over the hole.
4. Paint or line the inside of the box with black paper or black paint to reduce light reflection.
5. Place your smartphone inside the box opposite the lens, screen facing the lens.
6. Secure the phone in place with tape or cardboard supports so it doesn't move.
7. Turn off the lights and play a video on your phone.
8. Adjust the distance between the phone and lens by sliding the phone forward or backward inside the box to focus the image on a wall.
9. If needed, invert the image on your smartphone display using a projector app or screen rotation settings, as the projection will be flipped.
10. Enjoy your homemade projector!
