Step-by-Step Instructions
1. Gather 20-30 sheets of plain printer paper and fold them in half neatly to form the notebook pages.
2. Cut the cardstock or decorative paper to the same size as the folded pages; this will be your notebook cover.
3. Stack the folded pages inside the cover, aligning all edges carefully.
4. Use a ruler and pencil to mark two or three evenly spaced holes along the folded edge (spine).
5. Punch holes through the entire stack (cover and pages) at the marked points.
6. Thread the ribbon, string, or yarn through the holes, tying knots on the inside to secure the pages and cover together.
7. Trim any excess ribbon ends.
8. Optionally, decorate the cover with stickers, markers, or stamps to personalize your notebook.
