Homemade Flavored Infused Olive Oils

Create your own gourmet flavored olive oils at home using simple ingredients. These infused oils add a burst of flavor to salads, pastas, and breads, making them perfect for everyday use or gifting.

Step-by-Step Instructions
1. Sterilize your glass bottles or jars by washing them in hot soapy water and drying thoroughly.
2. Prepare your flavoring ingredients: wash fresh herbs and pat dry, peel garlic cloves if using.
3. Place your chosen flavorings (e.g., 2 sprigs of rosemary, 2 garlic cloves, or 1 tsp chili flakes) into the bottle.
4. Optionally, warm the olive oil slightly in a saucepan over low heat for 2-3 minutes to help infuse flavors (do not boil).
5. Using a funnel, pour the olive oil into the bottle, covering the flavorings completely.
6. Seal the bottle tightly and store it in a cool, dark place for at least 1 week to allow the flavors to infuse.
7. Shake the bottle gently every couple of days to mix the flavors.
8. After infusion, the oil is ready to use. Keep refrigerated after opening and use within one month for best flavor.
9. Label your bottles with flavor and date for easy identification.
