Homemade Salt Dough Christmas Ornaments

Step-by-Step Instructions
1. Preheat your oven to 200°F (93°C).
2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour and salt.
3. In a separate bowl, mix the water and vegetable oil.
4. Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, stirring until a dough forms.
5. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5 minutes until smooth.
6. Roll out the dough to about 1/4 inch thick using a rolling pin.
7. Use cookie cutters to cut out shapes from the dough.
8. Use a straw or toothpick to poke a hole at the top of each ornament for hanging.
9. Place the ornaments on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
10. Bake in the oven for 2-3 hours until firm and dry.
11. Once cooled, let kids decorate the ornaments with acrylic paint, markers, or embellishments.
