Step-by-Step Instructions
1. Measure and cut the reclaimed wood planks to your desired tabletop size (e.g., 4 feet x 2 feet).
2. Cut four legs from the remaining wood, each about 18 inches long.
3. Sand all wooden pieces thoroughly, starting with coarse sandpaper and finishing with fine sandpaper for a smooth surface.
4. Assemble the tabletop by arranging the planks side by side and securing them with wood glue and clamps. Let it dry as per the glue’s instructions.
5. Once the tabletop is dry, attach the legs to each corner using wood screws. Drill pilot holes to prevent the wood from splitting.
6. If desired, apply wood stain or paint to the table for added character and protection. Allow it to dry completely.
7. Finish with a coat of polyurethane for durability, especially if you plan to use it frequently. Let it cure as per the manufacturer's instructions.
8. Your rustic wooden coffee table is now complete and ready for use!
