Step-by-Step Instructions
Step 1: Cut all wooden pieces according to the cutting list, ensuring clean and accurate cuts.
Step 2: Sand all edges and surfaces of the wood pieces with 120 grit sandpaper, then finish with 220 grit for a smoother finish.
Step 3: Lay the long side pieces (4m) parallel on the ground. Attach the short side pieces (50cm) using wood screws at each end to form a rectangle. Use the square to ensure corners are 90 degrees.
Step 4: Reinforce corners with the end supports (1m) by placing them vertically inside the corners. Secure with screws.
Step 5: Attach the bottom piece (4m x 50cm) to the frame, ensuring there are no gaps. Use wood screws to secure it.
Step 6: Cut and attach landscape fabric to line the inside of the planter to aid drainage and prevent soil loss.
Step 7: Apply exterior wood sealer or paint to protect the wood from moisture and UV rays. Allow to dry as per product instructions.
Step 8: If desired, apply wood stain for aesthetics and additional protection. Let it dry completely before adding soil and plants.
Step 9: Move the planter to its desired location, fill it with soil, and start planting your favorite flowers or vegetables.
