Step-by-Step Instructions
1. Measure the circumference and length of each garden tool handle you want to wrap.
2. Cut leather strips to length, adding about 1 inch extra for overlap.
3. Lightly sand the edges of the leather strips for a smooth finish.
4. Use the hole punch or awl to make evenly spaced holes along one long edge of each strip.
5. Apply a thin layer of leather glue to the underside of the strip and carefully wrap it around the handle, aligning the punched holes.
6. Allow glue to set according to product instructions.
7. Thread the waxed thread through the holes using the leather needle, stitching the strip onto itself securely.
8. Tie off the thread neatly and trim excess.
9. Optionally, apply beeswax or leather conditioner to soften and protect the leather.
10. Repeat for each garden tool handle.
