Step-by-Step Instructions
1. Clean the plastic bottles thoroughly and remove any labels.
2. Using the marker, draw an oval opening on the side of each bottle, about halfway up.
3. Carefully cut out the oval openings with scissors or a craft knife.
4. Poke two holes near the top and two near the bottom of each bottle on opposite sides for threading the string.
5. Thread the string through the holes to create a vertical stack, tying knots to secure each bottle in place.
6. Fill each bottle with potting soil through the opening.
7. Plant your herb seeds or small plants in the soil.
8. Hang the vertical garden in a sunny spot outdoors using nails or hooks, or lean it against a wall.
9. Water the herbs regularly and enjoy your recycled vertical garden.
10. (Optional) Decorate the bottles with spray paint before planting for a personalized look.
