Step-by-Step Instructions
1. Sand both wooden plaques smoothly on all surfaces and edges.
2. Optionally, apply wood stain or paint on both plaques and let dry completely.
3. Attach the Lazy Susan bearing to the bottom side of the top plaque by centering it and securing with screws.
4. Attach the matching part of the bearing to the top side of the bottom plaque, again centering and securing with screws.
5. Cut the wooden dowel to about 4 inches length; sand smooth.
6. Drill a centered hole (slightly smaller than dowel diameter) in the middle of the bottom plaque that will fit the dowel snugly.
7. Insert the dowel into the hole on the bottom plaque with wood glue; allow glue to dry.
8. Drill an aligned hole in the center of the top plaque to fit the other end of the dowel and glue it in place, ensuring the two plaques stay parallel and stable.
9. Let all glue dry completely.
10. Optionally, apply a clear finish to protect the wood and enhance durability.
11. Test the rotation by spinning the top tier; it should rotate smoothly on the bearing.
12. Your rotating two-tier wooden tray is now ready to use!
