Intermediate 3 hours $20
Step-by-Step Instructions
1. Cut 20 lengths of macramé cord, each about 4 feet long.
2. Attach each cord to the wooden dowel using a lark's head knot, spacing them evenly.
3. Choose a basic macramé pattern such as square knots or half hitch knots and start knotting from the top down, leaving about 6 inches of plain cord at the bottom for fringe.
4. Once you reach the desired length (about 18 inches of knotted area), finish off the knots securely.
5. Carefully weave the LED string lights through the knots and cords, distributing the light evenly; use small pieces of clear tape or a dab of hot glue to secure the lights discreetly if needed.
6. Make sure the battery pack is accessible; attach it to the back of the dowel with tape or tie it securely.
7. Trim the bottom fringe to an even or desired length.
8. Hang your macramé wall hanging on a hook or nail and turn on the LED lights to enjoy your illuminated decor.
