Intermediate 3 hours $20
Step-by-Step Instructions
1. Measure and cut three wooden pieces: two vertical supports about 12 inches tall, and one horizontal piece about 10 inches long with a central hole to simulate the neck opening.
2. Sand all wood pieces thoroughly to smooth edges and surfaces.
3. On the horizontal piece, mark and cut two smaller semicircular holes on each end to simulate hand holes.
4. Attach the horizontal piece to the two vertical supports using hinges on one side to allow it to open and close.
5. Secure the opposite side with a small latch or screw to keep it closed.
6. Optionally, stain or paint the entire pillory to give it an aged, medieval appearance.
7. Allow the finish to dry completely before handling.
8. Display your medieval pillory model as a unique decorative piece.
