Step-by-Step Instructions
1. Sketch the tram design on the balsa wood or cardboard, focusing on a simple box shape with windows.
2. Cut out the tram shape carefully using scissors or a craft knife. Cut separate pieces for the sides, front, back, and roof if desired.
3. Assemble the tram by gluing the pieces together, ensuring all edges are aligned.
4. Paint the assembled tram with your chosen colors, adding details such as windows, doors, and tram lines. Let dry completely.
5. Attach small eye hooks or secure a loop of craft wire at the top of the tram model to serve as hanging points.
6. Cut two lengths of thin craft wire or strong thread to act as the suspension cables.
7. Attach one end of each wire to the eye hooks on the tram and the other end to a sturdy frame or mounting base (like a wooden dowel or a picture frame).
8. Secure the wires taut so the tram appears suspended and balanced.
9. Use clear fishing line or thin string to create the overhead 'tram cables' by stretching it between two points above the tram.
10. Hang the entire assembly from the ceiling or a shelf using the fishing line or string, adjusting for balance and height.
11. Optionally, add miniature LED lights inside the tram or decorative stickers to enhance realism.
