Intermediate 4 hours $30
Step-by-Step Instructions
1. Start by preparing your wooden base; sand the edges for a smooth finish.
2. Position the model jeep on the base to determine where the 'mud' will be.
3. Use air-dry clay or modeling putty to create a muddy effect around the wheels of the jeep, shaping it to look realistic.
4. Once the mud is shaped, paint it with brown paint to achieve a wet, muddy look. Add darker shades for depth.
5. While the mud is drying, paint the base green to represent grass or dirt.
6. Once the base paint is dry, glue fake grass or moss around the edges of the diorama.
7. Scatter small pebbles on the base for added texture and realism.
8. Optionally, mix water with brown paint to create a glossy mud effect and apply it over the dried mud.
9. After everything is completely dry, spray a clear acrylic sealant to protect your diorama and enhance the colors.
10. Display your diorama proudly!
