Step-by-Step Instructions
1. Cut the cotton fabric into two rectangles measuring 15" x 18" for the front and back of the tote.
2. Cut the canvas fabric into two rectangles measuring 15" x 18" for added durability.
3. Place the cotton fabric on top of the canvas fabric, right sides together, and pin the edges.
4. Sew around the edges, leaving a 1/4" seam allowance, and leave the top open.
5. Turn the bag inside out and press with an iron for a smooth finish.
6. If desired, personalize your bag with fabric paint or markers.
7. For the handles, cut two strips of fabric measuring 4" x 24" for each handle, fold and sew them to the top of the bag.
8. Finally, reinforce the seams where the handles are attached for extra strength.
