Plywood Monitor Stand for Four 28-Inch Screens

Plywood Monitor Stand for Four 28-Inch Screens

Build a sturdy plywood monitor stand designed to hold four 28-inch monitors side by side. This stand elevates your monitors to a comfortable height, fits atop a two-person office desk, and distributes weight evenly for stability.

Intermediate 4 hours $50
Step-by-Step Instructions
1. Measure and mark the plywood to cut the top platform: 2 meters long and 30 cm wide.
2. Cut the plywood top platform along the marked lines.
3. Cut two side support panels from plywood measuring 20 cm height x 30 cm depth x 30 cm width (or slightly narrower for stability).
4. Cut two internal support braces about 30 cm long and 15 cm wide to connect the side panels and add rigidity.
5. Sand all edges and surfaces starting with 120 grit, finishing with 220 grit for smoothness.
6. Position the side panels upright at each end of the top platform, ensuring they are flush with the edges and perpendicular using the carpenter's square.
7. Apply wood glue to the contact edges between the side panels and the top platform.
8. Clamp the pieces if possible and pre-drill screw holes to prevent splitting.
9. Secure the side panels to the top platform with screws.
10. Attach the internal support braces horizontally between the two side panels near the bottom to add stability, using glue and screws.
11. Optionally, apply wood finish or paint to protect and beautify your stand. Allow drying time as per product instructions.
12. Attach felt pads or rubber feet to the bottom of the side panels to protect your desk from scratches.
13. Place the stand on your desk and arrange your four 28-inch monitors side by side on top, ensuring weight is evenly distributed.
