Step-by-Step Instructions
1. Prepare your workspace by covering it with a protective mat and wearing gloves.
2. Mix the clear epoxy resin and hardener according to the manufacturer's instructions.
3. Divide the resin into two separate cups.
4. Add yellow pigment to one cup and blue pigment to the other, stirring thoroughly until color is even.
5. Pour the yellow resin into the lemon-shaped silicone mold, filling it carefully to avoid bubbles.
6. Pour the blue resin into the small bird-shaped silicone mold.
7. Allow both molds to cure undisturbed for the recommended time (usually 24 hours).
8. Once cured, carefully demold the lemon and bluebird resin pieces.
9. Use fine sandpaper to smooth any rough edges or imperfections.
10. Use the small paintbrush and acrylic paint to add details: paint the bird's eyes and beak, and add subtle highlights to the lemon if desired.
11. Optionally, spray a clear gloss over both pieces for extra shine and protection.
12. Arrange the lemon and bluebird together on a small wooden base or directly use them as a combined paperweight by gluing the bluebird onto the lemon's surface with a small dab of resin or clear glue.
13. Let the glue cure fully before use.
