Step-by-Step Instructions
1. Gather your scrap paper and flatten it out.
2. Using a pencil and ruler, measure and cut the paper into strips about 1 inch wide and 8 inches long.
3. Color the strips with fall colors—orange, brown, yellow—and add Halloween motifs like bats, pumpkins, or spooky eyes with black marker.
4. Once colored, glue the ends of each strip to form circles.
5. Interlock the circles by gluing one strip inside another to create a spherical lantern shape.
6. Allow the glue to dry completely.
7. Place a battery-operated tealight inside the lantern and set it on a table or windowsill.
8. Optionally, use tape to secure the bottom if needed for stability.
Enjoy the warm, festive glow of your homemade fall lanterns!
