Step-by-Step Instructions
1. Cut out flower shapes from the colored paper. You can make different sizes and shapes for variety.
2. Create a spring mechanism by cutting thin strips of paper (about 1 inch wide) and folding them accordion-style.
3. Attach one end of the accordion fold to the center of each flower shape with glue.
4. Use tape or glue to secure the other end of the accordion fold to a straw or popsicle stick, which will serve as the stem.
5. Decorate the flowers with markers or crayons, adding details like petals or smiley faces.
6. Once everything is dry, pull on the straw or stick to see your flowers spring into action!
