Beginner 1 hour $10
Step-by-Step Instructions
1. Cut out strips of colored construction paper, each about 1 inch wide and 10 inches long.
2. Fold each strip in half lengthwise to create a crease.
3. Open the strip back up and cut slits along the fold, stopping about 1 inch from the ends. Make slits every half inch.
4. Unfold the strip and gently pull apart the slits to create a springy effect.
5. Use glue to attach one end of the springy strip to a piece of sturdier paper or cardboard as the base.
6. Repeat steps 1-5 to create multiple springy steps in different colors.
7. Decorate the base and the springy strips using markers, crayons, or craft foam.
8. Arrange the springy steps in a way that kids can jump on them or use them in imaginative play.
9. Optional: Create a game by numbering the steps or adding challenges like jumping from one to another.
