Step-by-Step Instructions
1. Clean the shower door thoroughly with isopropyl alcohol wipes to remove soap scum and oils.
2. Lay down a plastic drop cloth or newspapers around the shower area to catch drips.
3. Use painter's tape to mask off any areas you don't want painted (edges, handles).
4. Mix each acrylic paint color with an equal amount of pouring medium in separate cups.
5. Optionally add a few drops of silicone oil to each color to create cells.
6. Layer the mixed paints in a clean cup by pouring one color over another without mixing.
7. Wearing gloves, pour the layered paint onto the shower door in a flowing wave pattern.
8. Tilt the door slightly or use a spatula to guide the paint flow to create wave effects.
9. Use a spray bottle filled with rubbing alcohol to lightly mist the paint surface, enhancing cell patterns.
10. Allow the paint to dry completely (24-48 hours) in a dust-free environment.
11. Once dry, carefully remove painter's tape.
12. Spray a clear waterproof acrylic sealer over the painted area to protect the design from water and wear.
13. Let the sealer dry according to product instructions before using the shower.
