Artistic Colored Aluminum Wire Floral Stand

Artistic Colored Aluminum Wire Floral Stand

Create a unique and artistic stand using colored aluminum wire to elegantly hold 2 to 3 flowers without the need for a traditional vase. This project allows you to craft an unusual shape that serves both as a decorative piece and a functional flower holder.

Intermediate 1 hour $10
Step-by-Step Instructions
1. Cut three lengths of colored aluminum wire, each about 18 inches long.
2. Using round-nose pliers, create a small loop at one end of each wire to prevent sharp edges.
3. Arrange the three wires parallel and twist them gently together from the looped end about 2-3 inches to form a stable base.
4. Spread the untwisted ends apart and bend each wire into a unique artistic shape — such as spirals, waves, or angular bends — that will cradle the flower stems.
5. Adjust the shapes so that the wires form small 'cups' or supports where flower stems can rest securely.
6. Twist the bottom twisted section tightly to create a sturdy stand base that can balance the structure upright.
7. Optionally, slide small pieces of rubber tubing or wrap floral tape around the wire tips where flowers will rest to prevent slipping or damage to stems.
8. Insert 2 or 3 flower stems into the wire supports, adjusting the shape as needed to hold them securely.
9. Display your artistic floral stand on a flat surface.
