Step-by-Step Instructions
1. Research and gather reference images of Skye's helicopter from Paw Patrol for accurate proportions.
2. Measure and outline the main body of the helicopter on large cardboard sheets, aiming for approximate child life-size dimensions (around 3 ft length, 2 ft width, 2 ft height).
3. Cut out the main body pieces from the cardboard: two long side panels, a top curved panel, front cockpit panel, rear tail section, and bottom base.
4. Assemble the main body by connecting the side panels to the base using hot glue, then attach the top and front panels, forming a hollow helicopter shape.
5. Cut propeller blades from cardboard and reinforce with additional layers for sturdiness. Attach them on top with a small cardboard cylinder to act as the rotor hub; secure with glue.
6. Cover the entire helicopter with pink poster board, cutting and gluing pieces carefully to conform to the shape.
7. Use white and black poster boards to add details such as Skye’s logo, windows, and accents. Alternatively, paint these details with acrylic paint.
8. Add cockpit windows by cutting shapes from white poster board or painting them on.
9. Optional: Attach Velcro strips to create movable parts like the rotor or side doors.
10. Let all glue and paint dry thoroughly before use.
11. Place the helicopter in a play area for children to enjoy imaginative play.
