Step-by-Step Instructions
1. Draw an octopus shape pattern on paper approximately 8 inches wide and 8 inches tall.
2. Cut out three identical octopus shapes from the felt, each in a different color.
3. For each octopus side, decorate the face using embroidery floss or safety eyes/buttons.
4. Cut three long rectangular strips of felt (about 3 inches wide and 24 inches long) for the reversible mechanism.
5. Sew the three octopus shapes together side by side along one edge, creating a tri-fold panel.
6. Attach one end of each rectangular strip to the bottom of each octopus side, aligning edges carefully.
7. Fold the plushie so only one octopus face shows at a time by folding the tri-panel and wrapping the strips to hold the shape.
8. Sew the edges of the strips together to form a continuous loop that allows flipping from one side to the next.
9. Sew the three octopus shapes together around the edges, leaving a small gap for stuffing.
10. Stuff the plushie firmly with polyester stuffing.
11. Sew the gap closed with small stitches.
12. Test flipping to ensure only one octopus face is visible at a time and flips smoothly through all three sides.
