Step-by-Step Instructions
1. Select a wooden pallet that is free of rot and structurally sound.
2. Sand the pallet thoroughly to remove rough edges and splinters.
3. (Optional) Paint or stain the pallet with exterior wood paint/stain to protect it from the elements. Let it dry completely.
4. Cut landscape fabric or burlap to fit the back and sides of the pallet, ensuring it will hold soil without falling through the gaps.
5. Use the staple gun to securely attach the fabric to the inside of the pallet, creating a pocket for soil.
6. Turn the pallet upright so it rests on its shorter side.
7. Fill each section of the pallet with potting soil, pressing gently to pack it in.
8. Plant your selected plants or seeds into the soil pockets.
9. Water the plants lightly using a spray bottle to avoid washing soil out.
10. Place the pallet garden against a wall or secure it for support.
11. Maintain the garden by watering regularly and ensuring plants get adequate sunlight.
