Step-by-Step Instructions
1. Design and draw the excavator parts on the plywood: base, arm segments, bucket, and cabin.
2. Carefully cut out the parts using a hand saw or craft knife.
3. Sand the edges to smooth out rough surfaces.
4. Assemble the excavator base and cabin using wood glue or small screws.
5. Attach the arm segments using small screws or hinges to allow movement.
6. Mount the servo motors at the joints where movement is needed: base rotation, arm lift, and bucket tilt.
7. Connect the servo motors to the Arduino Uno using jumper wires.
8. Upload a simple Arduino code to control the servos via serial input or a basic remote.
9. Secure the Arduino and battery pack inside or under the base using double-sided tape or small clamps.
10. Test the movements and adjust the servo mounting points or code as needed for smooth operation.
11. Optionally, paint or decorate the excavator for a finished look.
