Create a stylish wooden desk lamp that incorporates basic electronics to provide warm LED lighting. This project combines woodworking with simple circuitry, making it a perfect blend of craft and electronics for beginners.

Step-by-Step Instructions
1. Prepare the wooden base by sanding the surface smooth with medium then fine grit sandpaper.
2. Optionally, apply wood stain or paint and let dry.
3. Measure and mark the position for the LED light on the wood (center or desired location).
4. Drill a small hole for the wires to pass through from the top to the underside of the wooden board.
5. Attach the LED light or LED strip to the top surface using wood glue or small screws.
6. Connect wires to the LED terminals, use soldering iron for secure connections if available.
7. Attach the switch inline on one of the wires.
8. Connect the battery clip or USB connector to the wires, ensuring correct polarity.
9. Secure all wires neatly on the underside of the board with hot glue or tape.
10. Insert the battery or connect to USB power and test the lamp by toggling the switch.
11. Make any adjustments to wiring or mounting as needed.
12. Place the lamp on your desk and enjoy your handmade wooden LED desk lamp.
