Step-by-Step Instructions
1. Measure and mark the center of the wooden block lengthwise.
2. Using the ruler and pencil, draw a slot approximately 1/4" wide and 1/2" deep across the width, about 1 inch from one edge.
3. Carefully cut the slot using a saw or chisel to create a groove where the phone will rest.
4. Sand all surfaces and edges thoroughly to smooth rough areas and prevent splinters.
5. (Optional) Apply a clear wood finish or mineral oil to protect the wood and enhance its appearance. Let it dry fully.
6. Test the phone stand by placing your phone in the slot; adjust the slot depth or width slightly if needed for a better fit.
7. (Optional) Use wood glue to attach a small wooden base piece perpendicular to the block for extra stability, then let dry.
