Step-by-Step Instructions
1. Measure and mark a small groove on the top of the wood block about 1/4" wide and deep enough to hold your phone upright (approximately 1/2" deep).
2. Using the saw or craft knife, carefully cut along the marked groove to create a slot where the phone will sit.
3. Drill a small hole at the bottom of the groove to allow the charging cable to pass through. Make sure the hole is large enough for your charger cable.
4. Sand the entire block thoroughly, focusing on smoothing the groove edges and the surfaces that will touch your phone.
5. Apply your chosen wood finish or oil to protect the wood and enhance its appearance. Allow it to dry according to the product instructions.
6. Thread your charging cable through the hole and place your phone in the groove to test fit and stability.
7. Optionally, glue a small felt pad on the bottom of the dock to prevent slipping and protect surfaces.
